Certain nontopological magnetic monopoles, recently found by Lee and
Weinberg, are reinterpreted as topological solitons of a non-Abelian gauged
Higgs model. Our study makes the nature of the Lee-Weinberg monopoles more
transparent, especially with regard to their singularity structure.
