The cosmological model and parameter constraints deduced from observations are sensitive to assumptions regarding the power spectrum of primordial density perturbations. Also, a departure from scale invariance in the primordial power spectrum may be expected from several theoretical arguments. Observations today are making it possible for us to probe the primordial power spectrum as an arbitrary function of scale, and through it probe physics at very high energy scales. Using current Cosmic Microwave Background Anisotropy (CMB) data from Boomerang, CBI, DASI, Maxima, and VSA, we show how novel and improved techniques can be used to reconstruct the primordial power spectrum.
