Analysis of Cassini VIMS images of Saturn's H3+ aurorae reveals a strong dependence of the emitted intensity on local time with maxima in the post-dawn and post-dusk sectors. The post-dawn maximum is in agreement with measurements of auroral currents, UV aurora and SKR emission. The cause of the secondary, post-dusk peak has yet to be confirmed. The IR H3+ emission intensity is also dependent on SKR phase, in common with the UV aurora, and shows evidence of a rotating source. These relationships will be discussed using example VIMS images.
