During 1986 August and 1987 March two runs, each of five nights duration, were made at the Observatorio del Roque de Los Muchachos at La Palma during which the modulation transfer function of the atmosphere was measured every half hour using a shear interferometer in a purpose built, standalone monitoring telescope. The statistics of the runs, summarized in terms of the seeing parameter r0 are presented together with some related analysis.
