The capability of refraction, when the realistic plasma model is used, to account for the observed radiation pattern of L-emission as well as the asymmetry of a peak flux density in this pattern is investigated. The effect of the electric currents of the Jovian magnetic flux tube on the refraction of the Jovian decametric radio emission is considered. The suitability of the PM2 plasma model for modeling the radiation pattern of L- as well as S-emission is demonstrated.
