Moon Rocks: Thermal History

Scientific paper

The recent results obtained in large (depth = 16 - 60 cm) lunar rocks using the thermoluminescence (TL) method are discussed. The present study has important ramifications on the origin of TL in lunar samples, its build-up in large cores and rocks and its subsequent modification due to the 'lunar diurnal heat wave' and the cosmic ray flux at various depths.
