In order for cosmological models to be physically acceptable they must satisfy an appropriate set of thermodynamical relations. The thermodynamical laws in imperfect fluid cosmologies are discussed, and a description of how these laws are applied in various cosmological models with heat conduction is given. It is noted that in some papers in the literature in which such cosmological models are investigated there is no discussion of the thermodynamical laws, while in others the thermodynamical laws are incorrectly applied.
