Minor Planets: Temperatures
Scientific paper
The heat equation in a solid body with radiation boundary conditions and
periodic heating at the boundary - modeling a rotating asteroid - is
shown to have a unique time-periodic solution and it is globally
attracting. The author finds approximations to this solution for various
cases relevant to the possible existence of ice in the asteroid belt.
