The paper examines the trapping of cosmic ray albedo protons trapped in the geomagnetic field in the equatorial magnetosphere. A model is presented which calculates the trajectories of energetic protons injected from the earth surface to the L = 1.5, 2, 3, and 5 shells of the geomagnetic field. The calculations are performed up to the 12th point of reflection, assuming that the particle does not return toward the earth or escape the magnetosphere. The number of trapped protons for various L shells and their energies are studied as a function of time, and the spatial distribution of the reflection points and its time variations are examined.
