The theoretical profiles of the forbidden OI doublet are constructed using a spherical isothermal model of the SN 1987A envelope. A comparison between theoretical and observed profiles made for 289 and 526 days makes it possible to determine electron temperatures (from 3750 to 2850 K, respectively), a volume filling factor of about 0.05, and the form of the oxygen concentration distribution. The latter is constant for a velocity of less than 1600 km/s, decreases by a factor of 3 on the boundary, and then decreases proportionally to v exp -5. However, an agreement is not found between theoretical and observed profiles for earlier stages due to constraints of the proposed model which does not take into account the Thomson scattering.
