The authors study radiative transfer in a line for which only the albedo is fluctuating. The Bourret approximation provides an expression for the small correlation length limit. The model of Levermore et al. is then modified to obtain the proper limit in this case. This new formulation reduces the discrepancies of the model with direct Monte-Carlo benchmarks.
