The correlation between the velocity dispersion, DeltaV, observed in
molecular clouds and cloud size, L, is analyzed. It is shown that in a
cloud evolution model that takes both fragmentation and turbulence into
account, the dependence DeltaV(L) is in agreement with the observational
data.
