The results of B,V,R linear polarization observations of the Herbig Ae
star RR Tau are presented. The linear polarization degree-brightness and
color-magnitude diagrams of RR Tau are found to be similar to those of
UX Ori. It is suggested that processes in the circumstellar envelope are
the main source of the observed variability of RR Tau.
