Magnetic field and particle flux observations on board ATS 6 at synchronous altitude were used to examine the dawn-dusk asymmetry of the Pc 4-5-waves characteristics and the proton flux modulations associated with various modes of the Pc 4-5 waves. The occurrence features, the mode of oscillation, and the associated particle-flux modulation are described for three types of hydromagnetic waves (the A-class Pc 4-5, the R-class Pc 4, and the R-class compressional Pc 5) present in the Pc 4-5 range. The causes of dawn-dusk asymmetry for these three types are suggested.
