The equation governing acoustic-gravity waves is reconsidered in order to point out a new exact analytical solution describing a solitary non-sinusoidal wave. The profile of this wave depends on its distance from the source, and the amplitudes and periods of each wave peak are different. The solitary wave thus forms a two-dimensional structure of non-harmonic acoustic-gravity wave perturbations in the nonuniform atmosphere.
