The fluctuation power spectrum of a sequence of momentary pulse energies
formed using an integration gate narrower than the pulse width displays
features not visible with a wider gate. The analysis indicates that the
class two period is a function of phase within the pulse profile. The
statistical constitution of the mean pulse is discussed.
