Geomagnetic activity between 1973-80 is divided into a basic part generated by slow solar wind and parts generated by coronal holes and flares. Recurrence tendency and semiannual variation are examined in these parts. Coronal holes are shown to produce the main part of geomagnetic activity and the semiannual wave. Recurrence tendency is completely determined by coronal holes, in particular the 27-day period in 1973-75, and the 28-period in 1977.
