The model of polarizational dipole interaction is commonly used in ionospheric physics to calculate mean collision frequencies with momentum transfer nu(in) for nonresonant interactions of ions with neutral particles. It is know that, for planetary ionospheres, nu(in) values for O(+)-He and (+)-He interactions should be calculated in the approximation of the more real potential (12, 6, 4). An approximation of reduced collision integrals included in nu(in) is proposed for typical atmospheric values of reduced temperatures. This makes it possible to obtain an analytical expression for nu(in). Compared with the more precise values of nu(in) in the approximation of the potential (12, 6, 4), the use of commonly accepted expressions for nu(in) leads to errors in upper-atmospheric conditions: 8-23 percent for H(+)-He and 20-50 percent for O(+)-He. The results are of significance for the modeling of the Venus ionosphere.
