The steady-state evaporation of a gravitating spherical body is studied for finite Knudsen numbers. The distribution function is sought as a solution to an S-model kinetic equation. The density and temperature profiles corresponding to a Knudsen number of 0.2 are plotted for various values of a parameter that is an analog of the Froude number and characterizes the influence of gravity forces.
