The importance of production of narrow-band tuneable filters is emphasized in view of their utilization for a new promising method for solar spectroscopy - spectroscopy of the image. A short description is given of the principles of operation and basic parameters of the narrow-band tuneable filter model, elaborated at Pulkovo. The results of the trial observations of strong photospheric magnetic fields using the Leighton method and the filter are given.
