Spectrographs designed with pseudoplane aspheric gratings as anastigmats with a flat-field external focus are presented. Focus is placed on aberration-corrected gratings - ruled as well as holographic. Reflective figures of aspheric gratings are studied, along with aspherization of gratings by active optics. Self-achromatic singlet lenses as field flatteners are considered, and the optical design and characteristics of the spectrographs are outlined, with attention on spectrograph control. It is shown that the catoptric design of the spectrographs allows to work with various line-density gratings giving a dispersion range from 1.7 to 28 nm/mm. It is also demonstrated that the design of one of the spectrographs is highly achromatic over the spectral sensitivity range from 350 to 1050 nm.
