Here we summarize our recent efforts to study clusters of galaxies at z
=0.8-4.5 with the Subaru telescope. We then focus on the photometric
properties of the galaxies in the high-density region near the radio
galaxy 53W002 at z = 2.4 as well as the deep NIR spectroscopic
properties of the young galaxies there.
