The orbital period of V Sge is decreasing at a rate dP/dt=-4.8 times 10^{-10}. When interpreted in terms of the conservative mass transfer, this would imply that the secondary component fills its Roche lobe and loses mass at a rate dM_2/dt=-1.1 times 10^{-7}Modot/yr. The period decrease may be also due to the loss of mass and angular momentum from the system.
