Novae: Cataclysmic Variables, Stars: Individual: Z Cha: U Gem
Scientific paper
Mass transfer rates in Z Cha and U Gem are determined from the
luminosity of the hot spot, taking into account the effects of the
variable radius of the disk. In both systems the mass transfer rate
increases during outburst by a factor of about2. In U Gem its subsequent
decline takes more than 40 days.
