We study solutions to the gravity models which are obtained in the low-energy limit of the bosonic string theory up to order α'2 (cubic curvature terms). We show that these models have flat, de Sitter and anti-de Sitter spaces as solutions but the cosmological branches are unstable. We consider the static spherically symmetric solutions and discuss the effect of an explicit cosmological term on stability.
