As stressed, e.g., by Gurzadyan and Savvidy, the ``exponential instability'' of a self-gravitating system of N point masses with respect to small changes in initial conditions implies that it will ``mix'' in some average sense. It is, however, argued here that the effects of this ``mixing'' could be manifest already on a time scale far shorter than that computed by these authors, being comparable to the crossing time tD, rather than N1/3tD.
