This paper lists the strongest atomic resonance lines longward of 912 Å that are suitable for use in search lists for QSO absorption systems. The 179 lines have been selected according to the cosmic abundance of the element, the ionization potential of the atom, and the expected unsaturated equivalent width of the transition. Cosiderable effort has been directed toward quoting the most reliable wavelengths and oscillator strengths for each line.
