Information on the process of core collapse in supernovae can potentially be found in the neutrinos emitted from such an event. Lead, due to its relatively large cross section for high energy neutrinos, is an ideal detector for supernova neutrinos. Computer simulations are being used to help design various lead based supernova neutrino detectors.
