Radioactive nuclei play an important role in many astrophysical phenomena. Beams of radioactive ions allow the structure of unstable nuclei to be studied and cross sections for reactions of astrophysical interest to be directly measured. Some recent results obtained with radioactive ion beams that are of interest to nuclear astrophysics are surveyed. The capabilities of some radioactive ion beam facilities and prospects for future work are also briefly discussed.
