The program of binary star mass determinations by radial velocity measurements at the European Southern Observatory is discussed. The occurence of double-lined binaries, which are considered ideal for the project, is considered. Additional uses of the program to identify nodes, determine quadrants and determine the orbital elements of triple and quadruple stars are indicated, and the use of Coravel, to obtain radial velocity measurements by means of a mask, is noted.
