Scientific paper
The number count-redshift relation in a linearly perturbed Friedmann
universe is derived. It is shown that the resulting formula is invariant
under any coordinate-gauge transformation and any affine parameter
rescaling. Then it is applied to a perturbed Einstein-de Sitter model.
