Results of the 1979 - 1982 spectroscopic observations of RX Cas are presented. The author concludes that the absorption spectrum of the primary component A2 - A5 is a shell spectrum, while the secondary component is K0 II-III. The radial-velocity curves derived from the lines of the primary and the secondary components are symmetrical with γ = -25 km/s and half-amplitudes K1 = 14 km/s and K2 = 87 km/s. Using Kalv's photometric data the author has estimated masses and dimensions of the components. The mass-losing component K0 II-III overflows its corresponding Roche lobe. It is more likely that the mass-gaining component in RX Cas is a B9 near-main-sequence star. It is practically hidden inside an optically thick for continuum radiation accretion disk and for this reason is not observable spectroscopically in the optical region. The system RX Cas with q = 0.16 should be near the final stage of the Case B of mass exchange.
