In this talk I will briefly summarize three potential sources of GWs for LISA; namely the coalescence of two supermassive black holes, the in-spiral of an intermediate-mass black hole with a more massive one in a galactic nucleus (IMRIs) and a promising way to efficiently generate black hole in-spirals of extreme-mass ratio (EMRIs): the tidal separation of binaries near the centre of the Galaxy. We have high expectations for the discoveries that LISA may unravel. The detection of gravitational waves emitted from strong gravity fields would be a definite test of GR, and would also help answer a lot of questions that, as of now, we may not even be anticipating.
