“The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) seek to encourage the identification, protection and preservation of the cultural and natural heritage around the world considered to be of outstanding value to humanity.” We would like to follow these criteria in educating the young generations: getting familiar with the astronomical patrimony could help them to better know their own history, and to understand the progress made throughout the centuries in the knowledge of the universe. This should lead to a more respectful attitude towards the past and at the same time it should stimulate future research.
