In this survey viewed the main problems with which people studying ancient observatories are confronted. Also is described future trends and area of application of archaeoastronomy. The examples of investigations of archaeological objects with usage resent equipments and modern methods of astrometry are described in detail. The algorithm of such investigation is presented.
