The COROT satellite was successfully launched at the end of 2006. This mission is dedicated to asteroseismology and detection of exoplanet transits. First light-curves have shown the exceptional quality of the data and are very promising for future scientific discoveries. We will present the main features of this mission and some preliminary results in asteroseismology unveiled by the COROT team.
