Consideration is given to the 27-day intensity wave of Galactic cosmic rays observed in 1976 during a solar minimum period. The variation amplitude is about 1.5-2 percent. The same type of variation, but of a much greater amplitude, is experienced by the flux of He-4 nuclei as evidenced by IMP-8 measurements. It is suggested that the observed phenomenon is due to the spatial asymmetry of the region of the cosmic-ray modulation.
