During observations of Cyg X-1 with the X-ray telescope-spectrometer on board the Salyut-4 station, 19 intense bursts of X-ray emission were detected within 5 min on July 22, 1975. The flux in the bursts increased from 3 to 20 times. The burst spectrum may be fitted by a power law with kT values ranging from less than 1 keV to 4 keV and a hydrogen column density exceeding 10 to the 23rd power atoms/sq cm.
