Gamma-Ray Bursts: Distribution, Gamma-Ray Bursts: Cosmological Models

Scientific paper

Assuming that the bursts have identical peak fluxes, i.e. the "standard candle" hypothesis is valid, and have also identical density, the log N(>P)≡log P distribution of γ-ray bursts is analyzed using a simple cosmological model. There is no significant deviation between the theoretical result obtained from the cosmological model and BATSE data corrected for trigger efficiency and dead time.
