A diffusion equation is derived for strongly magnetized cosmic-ray particles propagating in a medium with a regular magnetic field and an ensemble of random MHD waves. Formulas are obtained which show the physical meaning of the equation coefficients, determining the mean particle velocity and the mean rate of the change in the particle momentum modulus.
