In previous work we have found the asymptotic normalization coefficients (ANC) for the virtual decays of the ground and first three excited states of ^10B to ^9Be + p from analysis of the proton transfer reaction ^9Be(^10B,^9Be)^10B. These ANC's are used to calculate the rate for the direct radiative capture ^9Be + p → ^10B + γ which turns out to be higher than previously reported. Using the calculated rate we fit the experimental astrophysical S-factor at low energies which includes the contribution from the resonance and direct captures using the standard resonance parameters. Comparison with the previously reported fit will be given.
