The structure, missions, campaigns, and mode of operation of IACG, are addressed. The science projects of the four member agencies are subdivided into core missions, complementary missions, and missions with spacecraft in heliospheric orbits. The core missions are Geotail, Wind, Polar, Interball, SOHO, and CLUSTER. The campaigns discussed, which will be conducted from late 1993 onwards, include the following: 'magnetotail energy flow and the role of nonlinear dynamics,' 'boundaries in collisionless plasma,' and 'solar events and their manifestations in geospace'.
