CHODIL et al.1 have suggested that the X-ray flux from the Centaurus XR-2 object varied between 1965 and 1967. In this communication we give in detail the changes in X-ray emission which occurred during the period April-May 1967, and show that during this time the X-ray energy output decreased approximately exponentially as a function of time, with a time constant of 25 days.
