The seismic network on the moon consists of five stations. Active seismic experiments utilizing explosives have been used to determine the very shallow structure of the lunar crust. Lunar seismograms and wave propagation are considered along with lunar structure and properties, lunar seismicity and tectonism, and meteoroid flux. Seismic investigations of Mars planned as part of the Viking missions are also discussed.
