Scientific paper
Sweden's first research satellite, the Viking, is scheduled to go into
orbit in 1985. This satellite will carry out research on the Earth's
magnetic field. Mission plans and launch operations for the Viking are
described. Sweden's participation in the Giotto mission is also
addressed.
