The radio source B2 1320 plus 29, identified with a 20th magnitude quasar, has been mapped at 1.4 GHz and 5 GHz with the Westerbork Synthesis Radio Telescope. This source shows a very unusual D2 type radio structure, with two outer components on the same side of the nucleus. The spectral index steepens when moving from the core to the outermost component. The magnetic field in the source is rather irregular; its orientation is transversal in the nuclear component and parallel to the source axis in the outermost one. The nature of the asymmetry of the source is briefly discussed.
