Observations of sunspot umbral oscillations in Ca II H and He I 10830 A are presented. They show that they have high amplitude in the upper chromosphere. The umbral oscillations have several cospatial frequency modes. The amplitude of the umbral 3 min chromospheric oscillation is not correlated with the amplitude of the 5 min oscillations in the umbral photosphere. The spatial distribution of amplitudes of photospheric and chromospheric oscillations may reveal the geometry of the penumbral magnetic field.
