An altitude profile of electron concentration is proposed, derived from the solution of the differential equation of the partial pressures of charged particles (three kinds of ions) in the earth's gravitational field and from empirical altitude temperature dependences. Comparison with experimental data from the outer ionosphere shows good agreement with between the semiempirical model and the data.
