This paper presents several magnetohydrostatic equilibrium models for prominences with fibril-like fine structure. For all the models ad hoc temperature profiles are used without discussing the energetics. For the models fine structure is assumed to occur either across the prominence axis or along it. This approach is intended as a first step toward more realistic models based upon a series of vertical fibril structures.
