A Monte Carlo simulation of the vacuum Bianchi type-IX (mixmaster)
cosmology yields a significant correlation between large universe volume
and high anisotropy. An analog of the model's chaotic classical behavior
is seen in the break up of the universe wave function at large volume
into fingers in the corners of the minisuperspace anisotropy potential.
